Connie Manning, a native of Louisiana, resided many years in St. Louis, Missouri before moving to Fort Smith, Arkansas in 2011. Her education and professional roles elucidate her passions for the ancient western world, health sciences, and the preservation of information via cultural institutions (in no particular order). In 2007 she graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a Master of Arts in Classics, building on her undergraduate studies in Latin and Greek. While in St. Louis, she coupled her love of libraries and health sciences in her role as Library Assistant at Saint Louis University Medical Center Library. In 2015 she received her Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and interned for Smithsonian Libraries. Most recently she served as Access Services Librarian at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith, which involved acting as liaison librarian to the College of Health Sciences.

Ms. Manning enjoys domestic and international travel, which has included participation in an archaeological field school in Greece and an archives internship in Jordan. Additionally, she balances her love of cooking and baking with outdoors activities, such as hiking, camping, and kayaking.
