Leslie Ziegler, MD is from Little Rock, Arkansas and graduated with a degree in medicine in 1993 from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona Health Sciences Center in Tucson, Arizona. After residency she stayed in Tucson to serve as Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine, where she was awarded the teaching award for excellence in teaching in the clinical sciences.

Since leaving Tucson about 18 years ago, Dr. Ziegler has practiced solely in clinics that minister to underserved populations. She currently volunteers at the Good Samaritan Clinic in Fort Smith where she treats uninsured, under-insured, and homeless patients. She says that along with teaching, serving this community has been one of the most gratifying things she has ever done in medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine, and among her favorite things in practice are dermatology, diet and wellness, and doing procedures.

She is married and her husband is a physician who specializes in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. They have two children. She is grateful to have the opportunity to balance three things she loves – being a mom and wife, practicing medicine, and teaching.
