Applications Administrator

The Applications Administrator will assist in developing and administering applications that meet the needs and goals of all divisions.

  1. Manage all applications for ACHE.
  2. Assist in the development of departmental policies and procedures, and establish or revise operation and procedural requirements as needed.
  3. Ensure Faculty and Staff are trained on all applications for their work areas.
  4. Maximize information technology by researching and evaluating innovations and trends in the IT industry.
  5. Assist with the implementation, support, and maintenance of Information Systems and Technology needs related to applications, databases, reporting and other software packages.
  6. Support staff, faculty, and students with IT requirements.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Three years (3) progressive experience in project management.
  • Three years (3) progressive experience in supporting and administering SQL database.
  • Three years (3) progressive experience in supporting and administering enterprise business applications.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Solutions Certified Expert in Business Intelligence and/or SharePoint
  • Five years (5) progressive experience in project management.
  • Five years (5) progressive experience in supporting and administering SQL database.
  • Five years (5) progressive experience in supporting and administering enterprise business applications.
  • Experience in the support of technology assets in an academic environment.
  • Experience in the support of technology assets in a medical environment.

 

 Required knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Proficiency in SQL, SharePoint and other Microsoft applications, software and technology terminology.
  • Advanced knowledge of advanced PC troubleshooting skills and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret computer programs and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate, and monitor multiple tasks and assignments.
